Nothing is added from outside.
Something new appears between.
Every recursion begins with relationship. Two distinct positions are held without collapsing either one into the other.
The operator does not choose one pole. It does not erase difference. It allows each state to enter relationship with what came before.
Notice what happens.
The first movement does not belong entirely to α. It does not belong entirely to β.
It belongs to the relationship between them.
Then that new state becomes part of the next relationship.
Again.
And again.
As the recursion continues, the movement settles toward a stable relationship.
The poles have not disappeared. Their relationship has become the state.
This is the quiet place inside the motion.
Not resolution.
Not victory of one pole over another.
A coherence that could not be seen until the relationship was allowed to continue.
